2008 KPY FOOTBALL INFO FORMS     2008 FLAG Football Registration Form    2008 Sponsor Form    2008 Football Apparel Form    2008 Cheerleader Registration Form    Flag Football: 5 & 6 year olds Age Cutoff: If the player turns 7 years old on or before November 15 – He must be registered in the 7/8 year old program.  Coaches must evaluate all the players before any exceptions are made. KPY Flag Football is an instructional youth football league for 5&6 year old children.  This league is an exciting and fun way for the kids to learn the basics of football, teamwork, and discipline.  The kids will be very competitive so the coaches and parents can NOT be.  Cheer both teams and always be positive.  There are no standings, scores are not kept, and winning has no relevance.  Please be aware though that the games are very competitive and the kids are playing hard (this is NOT T-ball). KPY will supply games jerseys and mouthpieces for all participants.  Please have your children dressed appropriately (depending on the weather), cleats are necessary, and bring plenty of water. Practices will begin August 12th, 5:30, @ Memorial Field Practices will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday @ 5:30 pm during the Summer When School begins practices will be Tuesday & Fridays @ 5:30 pm at Memorial Games will be Saturday mornings @ 10 am @ Memorial (No Travel) Games start approximately the 3rd week in September and end in the middle of November The season is 8 Games Practices are Mandatory   Football  7  - 12 year olds 7-12 is a TRAVEL league and is exceptionally competitive.  If an age group has 2 or more teams, the teams will be divided so that the most competitive kids will be placed on the same team so that our children will be able to compete with the rest of Suffolk County.  Coaches, not parents, must determine the placement of children so that we continue to be competitive. The 12 year old team will NOT conflict with the Middle School program.  KPY will NOT practice once the MS season starts.  KPY is looking to complement the MS program.  Playing time at the MS level is scarce and this program will supplement the teachings at the MS level.  Please note that this team will be placed in the extremely tough A division and all players must be ready, willing, and able to compete at this level.  This may not be the place for beginners. Practices will begin Tuesday, July 22th @ 5:30 pm at Memorial Field Practices will be every Tuesday/Wednesday &Thursday @ 5:30 pm at Memorial When School begins practices will be Tuesday, Wednesday & Fridays @ 5:30 pm at Memorial Please note that the Wednesday practice (once school starts only) is more for make ups, scrimmages, and special programs. Basically, you will NOT have practice every Wednesday (once school starts). During the summer, practice is every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
